National COVID Memorial Wall

Contributing to the Led By Donkeys campaign

Created in 2021, in an audacious collaboration between bereaved families from the campaign group Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice and the activist group Led By Donkeys, the National Covid Memorial Wall in London is a visual representation of the UK's catastrophic loss to Covid-19.

Staff and Students from the Graphic Communication Design programme at Central Saint Martins were asked to contribute to the wall. Over the course of three days, we painted thousands of red hearts to commemorate the lives lost during the pandemic.
